Feng Chia University Winter Service Teams Commissioned:11 Teams and 369 Students to Bring Care and Support to Rural Schools

The Office of Student Affairs at Feng Chia University held the commissioning ceremony for the 2025 Winter Service Teams on January 8, marking the official launch of this year’s winter service initiatives. A total of 11 service teams formed by student clubs, comprising 369 volunteers, will participate in the program and are expected to serve more than 700 schoolchildren. Through educational companionship and diverse learning activities, the teams will bring care and hope to schools and local communities while demonstrating Feng Chia students’ commitment to social engagement and civic responsibility.

The 2025 Freshman Growth Camp "Hello World!" opening ceremony was held in two lively sessions at the Sports Center, marking a brand new chapter in university life. The Hot Dance Club, Melody Guitar Club, Pop Music Club, and Dalan Reunion Club took turns performing, while Kahoot! interactive games ignited the freshmen's enthusiasm. The Club Expo was held for the first time in Virtuosi Hall, with 70 student clubs gathering together and nearly 4,000 freshmen exploring and discovering the diverse charms of each club.

The “Central Taiwan Ten-University Summer Joint Service Team,” jointly initiated by Feng Chia University, Tunghai University, and China Medical University in 2006, held the “20th Central Taiwan Ten-University Summer Joint Service Team Flag Presentation Ceremony” this afternoon (3rd) at Feng Chia University. Over the past 20 years, the service team has expanded from three to ten universities and colleges in central Taiwan, with nearly a thousand students participating and serving thousands of rural children, making it the largest and most historic cross-university summer service initiative in central Taiwan.

Since 2020, Feng Chia University and TSMC have co-hosted multiple corporate briefings and resume clinics. On September 25, 2024, the TSMC mobile recruitment vehicle returned to Feng Chia campus to officially launch the "Pre-Registration Program" for 2025 graduates, holding a physical event in front of the Administration Building 1 and Zhongqin Building Plaza to pre-hire like-minded partners to join TSMC.

The 2024 Freshman Growth Camp at Feng Chia University was held from September 2 to 4, drawing nearly 4,000 enthusiastic new students. This year’s theme, “Hello, World!”, featured visual designs and a theme video inspired by programming languages and global perspectives, while also highlighting the upcoming Virtuosi Campus Building, scheduled for completion in 2025.

Feng Chia University launched its 2024 Campus Recruitment and Career Matching Fair today (5th), continuing through the 6th, with event hours running from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Over one hundred companies are on campus providing corporate introductions and outlining their talent needs. Students may submit résumés on-site or participate in immediate interviews. In addition, 27 pre‑registered interview sessions and 13 corporate information sessions are scheduled across the two‑day event. Altogether, companies participating in the fair are offering nearly 6,200 job openings, with an average monthly salary range of NT$36,000 to NT$72,000, giving students abundant opportunities to secure ideal positions on the spot.

The winners of the 11th Taichung Urban Space Design Award, organized by the Urban Development Bureau of Taichung City Government, were announced on January 19, with a grand award ceremony held at The Lin Hotel Taichung. Among more than a hundred competing projects, Feng Chia University’s Jing‑Tsai Residence Hall stood out and received the Excellence in Architectural Space Award. Vice President Guo‑Hao Tang and Dean of Student Affairs Hui‑Kuang Yu attended the ceremony, with Vice President Tang representing the University in accepting the honor.
